Star Media and Babich Design continue the account of the Napoleonic Wars with the Russian army’s long journey from the burning down of Moscow to their victory in Paris including the Battle of Dresden and the Battle of Kulm; the French defeat near Leipzig; the Russian army’s military operations in France and the assault on the French capital by the Russian bayonets which finally liberated Europe from Napoleon’s dictatorship.

Theatrical feature film-style cinematography was used in the reconstruction of this epic military campaign from the battle episodes, the dialogue between characters and battle plans to the biographies of the military leaders. Battle sites, fortresses, cities and the everyday life of the soldiers during the campaign were created in stunning CGI animation. Military uniforms from all the fighting nations, the cold steel and firearms of the infantry and cavalry, artillery and other military equipment of the time have been specially recreated for the production of this magnificent and epic series.

Here is the recording of my very first sunrise set at Burning Man 2018 in the Black Rock Desert. I started playing around 5:45 am, the lights and lasers were still glowing in the cold darkness of the night..as the songs were passing by, the sky turned blue and the horizon warmer. Burners were all facing the deep playa, waiting for the sun to appear. It was an honour to soundtrack this moment and share music in such a magical place. No matter how hard I try, words can barely describe the energy and emotions felt in that instant… I hope music can express it better.

12 июля 2020 года исполнилось 125 лет со дня рождения Ричарда Бакминстера Фуллера: архитектора, инженера, изобретателя и мыслителя.

«Мир Бакминстера Фуллера» знакомит нас с Баки ближе к концу его жизненного пути, когда он может подвести итоги.

Его жизненный путь показал чего позволяет достичь системное мышление, умение ставить глобальные цели и решать промежуточные задачи на пути к устремлениям.

Фуллер стремился максимально использовать принцип «большее из меньшего». Подарил миру геодезический купол, экспериментировал с формами семейного жилья и мобильных многоэтажек. Задумал необычную машину для передвижения по земле, в воде и по воздуху. Придумал проекцию земного шара «Димаксион» или «проекцию Фуллера». В честь него названа химическая структура фуллерен.

A lot goes on in just 24 hours. But why is a day divided in 24 hours in the first place? Who decided how we would calculate it?

Today, time is tucked away in our pockets, just an unlock button away. It drives our technology, with atomic clocks being responsible for precise GPS location services and speedy internet search results.

Our ancestors, on the other hand, didn’t have it that easy. Time for them was written in the stars, in the sunrise and sunset, in the moon’s waning and waxing.

So how did we go from looking up to celestial bodies to looking down at our phones for time? What other timekeeping methods did ancient humans use before watches and clocks became ubiquitous? And what the heck is an atomic clock?
