NASA’s OSIRIS-REx: Mission to Bennu

OSIRIS-REx is the third mission in NASAs New Frontiers Program. Its goal is to explore near-Earth asteroid Bennu, a remnant from the dawn of the solar system, and to return a sample of Bennu to Earth in 2023. OSIRIS-REx launched in September 2016 and arrives at Bennu on December 3, 2018. This video illustrates each of the missions carefully-designed orbit maneuvers and mapping campaigns on its journey to Bennu and back.
